Dear Martin
My adsl line was defective. The trip was great. Everything ran smoothly. Eduardo and his team was very helpful and exellent in all the arrangements. They and yourself did a fantastic job. All the hotels were very good and the consensus was that Argenta is better than Crillon. As we all know the Llao Llao is one of the best hotels in the world , and this was confirmed by our stay.
Thank you again for all you did and your extreme patience with at times very difficult clients, this is greatly appreciated.

Hi Martin
Great trip thank you .We got back yesterday,Justin met us. The Peru leg was very good thank you and we all thought it was an amazing place. Thanks for your help.
On advice of over crowding on Waynu Picchu we walked up Machu Picchu instead where we maybe saw 20 people in total over 4 hours.A blissful respite from the tourists. Had a picnic on the top and had a glorious view.It was a tough walk but very enjoyable.Even the 13 year old managed it.The mountains are just spectacular around that area and that train from Cusco just amazing.
Will send a photo of Louise and Jonathan at the top of MP when I have downloaded on to the home computer.
Nuevo Mondo were very good and looked after us well. We loved the Pueblo hotel. It really is very special.
Thanks for arrangements, all went so well.

2007- CLIENTS & FRIENDS SOUTH AMERICA
Hello
Thanks for organizing a wonderful holiday. We had a fabulous time. Ben told you about the dulce de leche (and his bottle that he’s almost finished), so I think our next option is to share a lovely bottle of Argentinian wine with you guys. Non? Let’s organize when that will suit you.
Best, TESSA

2007- CLIENTS SOUTH AMERICA
Dear Martin,
It was kind of you to phone me to find out how our trip had gone. I should have contacted you before that, but as I mentioned we arrived home to find that two family members had died, one of them the mother of our youngest grandson, a first year student in Pretoria, leaving him parentless. Obviously that left us with a lot of urgent business to attend to.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and virtually everything worked according to plan, even if not always exactly on schedule. In Ica, for example, we arrived a little too late for the mid-day Nazca Lines flight, so instead of the city tour, we visited the Tacama wine farm before taking the 3.15 flight, and Huacachina afterwards. Probably a fair exchange! The Ballestas Islands tour on the way back was quite wonderful. In Arequipa, where the plane arrived late, our local guide Omar Gómez did wonders in rushing us to Santa Catalina before it closed, and still fitting in the city tour afterwards. The drive from Arequipa to Puno via the Colca Canyon was full of interest, as were the islands we visited in Lake Titicaca and the train journey to Cusco. We did find the altitude a bit trying, but still managed to enjoy the various activities. Christopher joined us, of course, in Cusco. As Omar had done on the journey from Arequipa to Puno, all the local guides did everything they could to ensure we made the most of our visit, and we had a splendid ten days together.
The Argentinian part of our tour was also very successful, and we found both the Ranch Tour and the Tango Dinner and Show enjoyable and interesting. We were glad to have spent three nights at Iguazu, and to have stayed at the Sheraton. The day we flew in was doubly useless : we were transferred to a later flight which was supposed to arrive at 13.00 (instead of 11.30), but was itself delayed, so we only got to the hotel in the late afternoon; and, as it happened, it had rained all day and continued well into the night. However, the weather got gradually better, and we managed to fit in everything we wanted to do in the next 2½ days. Unfortunately, perhaps, the water level was exceptionally high, so St Martin Island was closed, as was the approach to the Garganta del Diablo overlook. On the other hand the greater volume of water increased the visual impact of the Falls.
We were very happy with the all the accommodations we stayed in, and were delighted with all the meals included in the itinerary, except for the boxed lunch on the way to Puno (there would actually have been enough time for another proper lunch in Chivay, where we had had a wonderful buffet the day before).
And finally, thank you for organising this magnificent tour for us, and taking so personal an interest in its success!
Kind regards,
Mitchell and Ninon Shackleton |

Hallo Martin, We apologise for not reporting to you on our trip to Peru sooner. We had so many good intentions to do this within the first week of our return, but we got involved in so many other things. We however visited Martmarie at IndoJet and told her of our wonderfull experience.
The whole tour from beginning to end was extremely well organised wthout any problem. It surpassed all our expectations and fitted in very well with the way we are used to travel---ie doing things on our own and mixing with the local people as far as possible. We do not like organised tours (like Trafalgar etc) and the tour you layed out for us suited this style perfectly. It took out all the hassle of queing for tickets, taxi's and asking around for information in different languages. Now some detail comments:
1)The tour guides went out of thier way to assist and to inform. All of them spoke a very good English, were very knowledgable and keen to share information with us
2)All the guides were extremely helpfull and went out of their way to assist, this is the first time in all our travels that the tour guide took care of flight check ins, train seating resevations, walking us to a restaurant, going with us to the airport, train station bus terminus and even checking afterwards to make sure everything is OK
3)Everybody were on time every time, this include the guides, the taxi's the busses----everybody
4)The hotels were exellent, processed chechin and checkout quickly, the rooms were spotlessly clean, the service was always friendly and outstanding
5)All the documentation was correct and complete, no guessing on times, events, addresses ,contact persons and numbers. We never felt "deserted" because we knew that somebody was on standby to assist
6)The train ride from Cusco to Maccho Piccho and bus ride from Cusco to Puno are both highly recommended. The personell were very helpfull and friendly.
I can go on and on, but I can conclude that this was an exellent itinerary you put together, the hotels and guides were absolutely first class, the service was on time and exellent andt we will recommend your service any time.
We also concluded that the bus ride from Cusco to Puno is a much better option than the train. The bus ride includes a guide and stewardess, both very competent and the sights visited on the way were very interesting. Something that the train does not offers.
Please pass this comments on to all your colleaques and guides in Peru. This was a most enjoyable trip,
CONGRATULATIONS ON A VERY GOOD SERVICE.
Regards

2006- CLIENTS SOUTH AFRICA
Hi Martin
Good day from a very cold and windy England.
We had a fantastic time in South Africa and I was unable to thank you personally but the 2 tours with Alex were excellent.
He is a delightful man and set our holiday off to a great start. I think I may have given him an incorrect email address for us
When we left maybe if you see him you could mention it to him?
I have recommended your services to all my friends and suggested the travel agents Beaver Travel use you for all their clients in South Africa.
Once again thanks very much for organizing 2 great trips and we hope to see you sometime in South Africa.
Many thanks

2006 - GOLF GROUP SOUTH AFRICA & IRELAND
Hi Martin,
Sorry for the delay in giving you feed-back, but things have been crazy since our return from your lovely land – wish I was still there!!!!!!!
Thank you – all your organization and recommendations were great. Everyone including the Irish really enjoyed themselves. Eduardo is a great guy and really looked after us – nothing was a problem for him to organize – I look forward to seeing him in SA next year. The golf was most enjoyable with everyone raving about Olivos and BA Golf club. Penguinos was good, but not in the same class as the other two. Just a pity that the courses charge tourists the the $ equivalent of Pesos for green fees – makes the golf quite expensive.
Restaurants/Hotel were good and we all returned more portly but very satisfied. We have already spoken about going again – but I think this may only happen again in abt 2 – 3 years time ( world cup rugby in France next year seems to be the next get- together.)
Thanks again for all your efforts – much appreciated.
Best rgds

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 - PERU + ECUADOR + ARGENTINA
Hi Martin
You have had feedback from Justin Schaffer on the Ecuador and Peru side of the trip for the Dienst party that went visiting South America in July through your good offices. Jennifer and I were part of the five. It was a wonderful adventure, even better in hindsight and something that we are delighted that we did - all parts of it - including the Napo River So thank you very much for putting together a wonderful tour.
A few points from our side:
Yes we agree with Justin's summary of the Casa del Suizo arrangements. The venue was not what we were looking for, the transport arrangements were not suitable but we are delighted that we went to the Oriente. It added to our experience and we wouldn't have missed the opportunity. I have seen your response and that of Gray Line so fully understand the circumstances.
The staff in the Four Point Sheraton in Quito need special congratulations. We stayed there one night, then went off to the Oriente and came back three nights later. On our return the staff knew who we were and called us by our names before checking in - very impressive. They could not have been more kind, thoughtful and helpful. It was Jennifer's birthday the day we returned to Quito and they delivered a wonderful chocolate cake to our room to mark the occasion with their compliments.
Buenos Aires was a fascinating city that gave us an added dimension to the trip. I know we asked to go to the Senor Tango - very exciting dancing but too long, inedible food and, for non-Spanish speakers, too much in Spanish. This is definitely not a criticism but merely feedback. Carolina from Lihue (?) said that it would not have been their first choice but we chose it so that's our fault.
The tour guides were all excellent with a good command of spoken English and all thoroughly knowledgeable, interesting and interested.
So thank you once again for a fascinating trip

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 - PERU + ECUADOR + ARGENTINA
Dear Martin
We would like to endorse Justin's comments to you. We did have a great trip
and appreciated the meeters and greeters at all places, all of whom were
helpful, friendly, knowledgeable. Our guide for Macchu Piccu, and Cusco,
Javier Vera, was particularly good.
We were more than happy with most of the hotels, particularly the Macchu
Piccu Sanctuary Lodge, a stunning location and really 5 star. However we
did not like the hotel in Lima, which might be fine in summer with an open
air restaurant, not so in winter. Also our room was right over this spot
with a party going on until 2.30am, not good for sleep!
This is not a complaint, just comments which might help you with future
tours.
Your arrangements went like clockwork, with the exception of the Napo River
trip, so many thanks for all your work. We look forward to going to South
America again.
Regards

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 - PERU
Hi Martin
Back home and caught up on sleep and re-establishment of the normal routine, we can report that we had a wonderful time in Peru ? not to mention BA. As we reflect on details we will give you more specific feedback, but in general the pace worked out well, your local agents all met our expectations and in some cases exceeded them, and we were impressed at the general integration of the Tourism Systems in Peru.
Thanks for your help

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 - REPEAT BUSINESS
Dear Martin
Wishing you all a very peaceful Easter Festive Season.
We returned from Argentina last week and I am back at the office this morning ? suffering from jetlag like you cannot believe.
First of all ? on behalf of my Dad (Ben), my Mom (Anne), my Sister (Linda) and myself we would like to congratulate and to compliment you and each and every member of the Travel Agencies for a very well, streamlined and successfully, organized trip.
We thoroughly enjoyed every second of every day.
The only bad news were : my dad and my suitcases were totally destroyed and damaged upon our arrival at Beunos ? and we have put in a claim at Malaysian Airlines.
Otherwise, it was just magic ? and once again ? hats off to Marcelo who was at the Airport to welcome us so warmly back to Argentina.
We have all fell in love with this magical country all over again ? there are so many beautiful places, but I think La Angosturra tops it all!!! San Martin was also magical ? every place that we visited was so great.
Thank you so much Martin. Could you please be so kind as to extend our sincere gratitude to everyone for making our trip and stay so very special.
Warmest regards

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 - ARGENTINA
Dear Martin
Well, after a fantastic holiday in Argentina we are back. We spent so
many hours planning this trip that I feel very sad that all is done and
dusted. I would like to thank you and your staff for making our trip so
unbelieveable. We had the time of our lifes !!!!!!
We want to thank you for recommending places to see and tours to include
in our package. The boat trip at the glaciers was absolutely
spectacular as we were there when the glacier collapced. How lucky can
you be ? The value and service on this tour was first class. I will
strongly recommend this to anybody. The minitrekking was worth every
sent that we spent and are very glad that we took the option. Your agent
in Buenos Aires was of a very high standard and specifically Karen who
delt with us was fantastic and would like you to please convey our
thankfullness to her. She is stunning.
All the hotels were wonderful especially Elevage as the location is
perfect. The staff at the hotel are all very helpful and friendly. The
hotel in Mendoza is fine but I think there are other options that you
can take for the same price. All in all, the three Whittles had a GREAT
holiday, one we will never forget and some of our dreams came true on
this trip. Thank you for all your hard work we did appreciate
everything. We would love to go back to South America and would
cetainly use your services.

SOUTH AMERICA 2006 GOLF GROUP - ARGENTINA
Martin
Thanks very much for the tour. Everything went off smoothly. Argentina was fantastic and Eduardo was brilliant, he really did go out of his way to make the trip enjoyable. As for buenos Aires, it is a party city, and particularly the people. Even if they don't speak English they try and help or talk to you and they always have a smile on their faces. In hinsight I think Punta was a bit quiet and maybe we would have been better served staying in Buenos Aires, but it was interesting anyway. As for the courses, Buenos Aires country club was a test and probably the best club, but having said that Olivos and Jockey were also thoroughly enjoyable. The course in Punta was also great, very picturesque.
All in all the boys enjoyed the trip although quite tired at the end and all are keen to go back....just got to get it past our wives again!!!
Thanks once again and tell Eduardo thanks also, he was a real star

Dear Martin,
Mrs Whittle returned my call on Saturday. She cannot stop talking about how wonderful the tour was, all the arrangements
etc etc. She says she will most definately book through you again and the info and tips you have given them was worthwhile.
It definately sounds like the boat trip was the highlight and she is very impressed with your ground handlers in Buenos.
She asked me for your email so I am sure she will be sending you a mail.

Hi Martin
Lovely to hear from you! I called Michael on the day of his return and only heard wonderful reports - he said that he was still in 'dreamland'. Both Michael and Jill thoroughly enjoyed what they saw and experienced and said that your company provided wonderful service - so much so, that he was going to send you an email to thank you personally - presume that he is going to do so - I gather he has been hectically busy.
Av very happy Christmas and New Year to you too.

SOUTH AMERICA 2005 - TRAVEL AGENT "STELLENBOCSH TRAVEL"
Hi Martin,
Many thanks for your e-mail. We had a wonderful time in B.A! The agency that you make use of was absolutely fantastic! Extremely professional & very helpful. Our guide, Maria was very good & made our stay in B.A. even more special.
The tours were very interesting - we esp. enjoyed the tour to one of the ranches. The tango show was incredible!
All in all Martin, it was very well organised. We never experienced any problems, except for our day trip to Colonia. The agency did not realise that there was a time difference in Uruguay, so we missed our fast ferry & landed up having to take the slower one, but this was not a huge problem at all. If anything it was very important for me to experience both ferries, so as to advise our clients accordingly.
I was very impressed with the Art Hotel. Lovely accomodation & in a good area. I was not very impressed with the Waldorf Hotel, but for a 2 star hotel, I suppose it is good value. The location, of course, was completely ideal!
I really enjoyed my stay & will definately return to Argentina, but to see more of the interior of the country.
Thank you so much for all your wonderful arrangements! Everything worked like clockwork!
Kindest regards

SOUTH AMERICA - 2005 - "HORSE TREK"
Dearest Lisa,
Back from our great trip to Argentina. It was a memorable experience and definitively to be repeated.
Thanks for organizing such a great trip!
Here the short summery of the adventure.
We arrived at 5-30 am in Esquina and welcomed by Fernando from la Rosita, driven to the Estancia and after a short sleep in a beautiful Spanish style surrounding we got served a luscious breakfast, at 9.30 am we where already on our horses. From this moment the real Holiday started, a great time with fantastic panoramic scenery and gorgeous Estancias, lots of wild and bird life.
The people, Fernando, his Mother, Brother, Juancho the Gaucho that followed us throughout the ride, are very friendly and caring, there was nothing that was of bother or too much for them to please us on our stay. The food was just the best, every day for lunch under the trees and in the evening for dinner a different selection of home made Corrientes specialities where served accompanied by delicious Argentinean red wine.
The accommodation in the different Estancias was very comfortable and clean, very important after a 6 to 7 hrs ride, the Estancias are very well maintained and rich of beautiful decorations.
The horses are well groomed and we had the choice of 10 different horses throughout the entire trip.
We left La Rosita with a great feeling and with the sincere intention to go back again.
From La Rosita we got fetched by a driver and after a 7 hrs drive through to the Ricon Del Socorro Estancia run by Valeria and Lesley. A very nice set-up, luxurious and rather new (open only 5 month). they took us by boat to the wet-lands, a real "Twitcher" (bird-watcher) paradise. Not really up Verena's and my liking but a definitive must for any conservation fundy. The people at the hotel are friendly but still to get grip on how to handle guests. Verena did not get very well with Lesley!?!
The return flight back from Posadas to Buenos Aires was fine (cattle class! ;-) ) we got fetched from the airport and brought to the Sofitel Hotel, a very nice 5 star Hotel with all the facilities and friendly staff ........ a good Bar to!!! Next day got fetched and brought to the airport for our final destination JHB.
All in all a great adventure! Many thanks and will be in touch for further travel arrangements,
Best wishes and warm regards,
Michel Zimmermann |
